..."Bowles House, Clare Terrace Falmouth"...
A century after it’s original construction, Wombwell Homes have started to breathe new life into Falmouth’s former
Clare Terrace School for Girls, latterly known as the Falmouth-Penryn Adult Education Centre.
The forthcoming project is to be renamed ‘Bowles House’after Mrs F.J.Bowles, who ceremonially laid the still visable
memorial stone on February 5th1907. The external appearance of the Grade 11 listed building, with traditional cornish
stone and granite, will remain unchanged.
The £3 million scheme will consist of 11 luxury apartments in total: 2 one bedroom studios, 2 2 bedroom studios and
seven two bedroom duplex apartments some with galleries and internal atriums. Prices range from £189,995 to £349,995.
Occupants of BOWLES HOUSE will enjoy an elevated position with water views over the town centre towards the Carrick Roads.
The existing fabric of the building will be refurbished and repaired as neccessary on a like to like basis throughout.
Newly installed gallery floors, partitions, kitchens, bathrooms and oak staircases will all be of a minimalist contmporary
design to contrast with the host building. Each property will have allocated car parking and use of shared garden areas with
seating. The lower ground floor apartments each has private terraces..
